More than half (61%) of industry professionals said they have “no confidence” in chancellor Rachel Reeves, highlighting deep scepticism about her ability to navigate the UK’s economic landscape, according to last week’s PA Asks poll.

Only 7% expressed "a lot of confidence" in her performance, while 28% said they had "not much confidence," leaving just 4% with "some confidence." Not a single respondent had "complete confidence" in Reeves' leadership. The weekly poll garnered 102 responses. Reeves was criticised for her handling of her first Budget, with many labelling it inflationary, anti-business, and lacking basic economic understanding. One respondent described the budget as "the most bizarre hamstrung inflationary budget I have seen," while another stated that it "jeopardises food security" and "will not encourag...
