MP responds to adviser worries over sophisticated 'Prudential' scam

Conservative MP David Davis has responded to an email from a financial adviser that stopped his client pouring money into a sophisticated 'Prudential' scam.

Daniel Williams (pictured), an IFA at Hull-based Morgan Williams, contacted Davis after a client nearly invested £150,000 into what looked like a genuine Prudential product. The scam, which claimed to be a product called the Prudential Fixed Interest ISA RMA Bond and promised guaranteed returns of 3.5% per annum on a five year fixed basis, was the most "sophisticated" Williams had ever seen.
