Q. You started out in administration and accounts and then moved into the advice sector in 2001. What prompted the switch? A. I started out in a direct sales office and got a feel for financial services with Target, a life insurer. The only time I have been out of the industry is when I worked for Zurich and the accounts side is totally different. My first job as a paraplanner was a little odd because when I told my employer that is what I wanted to do, they had never heard of it! I enjoy background research rather than the sales side – I am not a sales person and never have been. Q....
